LET'S CELEBRATE: Gift wrap

As you could probably guess we take gift wrapping pretty seriously here at Parcel HQ. Whether you’re adding an extra layer to your perfectly prepared Parcel, or wrapping a whole host of gifts from Santa, here are some of the most chic wrapping themes for you to go for this year. All imagery and further inspiration can be found on our 'Feeling festive' Pinterest board.

Super fancy silk

For those extra special gifts (or all of them if time and budget permits) we are OBSESSED with this trend. Wrap, twist and tuck silk or linen around your gifts for the most decadent gift wrap known to man.  This is also a gorgeous way to dress up a party gift such as a Christmas pudding or bottle of fizz.

Velvet for the win

A velvet ribbon is a small and easy detail to add to your gifts. Thanks to the velvet hair tie trend, you can find lots of inexpensive styles and colours online. Add to matte wrapping paper in the same colour for textures galore…. Could this all black be any more stunning!?

Bag it

If wrapping isn’t your bag (pun totally intended) then this idea’s made for you. Simply pop your gift into a brown kraft bag and accessorise with pegs, bows, tags or greenery. Adding some tissue paper and table confetti sprinkles inside gives an extra layer of fun.

Monochrome madness

The gift wrap section can be an assault on the senses when decision fatigue is already at an all-time high. If in doubt when it comes to colours – go monochrome. Matching the ribbon and bow to the paper is a timeless style and a label maker will create a perfect modern monochrome tag.

Go green

Liven up a simple wrap style with accents of greenery. Tucked into the string or ribbon, eucalyptus (good option as it will last and still look chic even when dried) or Christmas tree clippings give a rustic vibe with no hard work at all. They look so perfect under the tree you won’t want to give them away.
